Borysova A. Transformation of the worldview of foreign students in the process of intercultural adaptation in the country of education.

Object - structural and substantial features of a picture of the world of students foreigners; purpose - to define structure, contents and psychological features of transformation of a picture of the world of students foreigners in the course of cross-cultural adaptation in the country of training; methods - theoretical (analysis, synthesis, systematization, generalization, structuring and modeling), empirical (psycho-diagnostic methods of the stating and forming experiment), mathematical-statistical methods of data processing; novelty - for the first time: it is constructed and verified model of a picture of the world of students foreigners which structural factors are ideas of themselves, of others, of world around and of the life, and basic beliefs and social axioms act as substantial characteristics; the interrelation of structural and substantial features of a picture of the world with indicators of success and personal resources of cross-cultural adaptation of students foreigners in the country of training is established; ideas of resources of cross-cultural adaptation of students foreigners by creation of theoretical model which contains universal (resilience, coping-behavior, tolerance to uncertainty) and ethnospecific (positive ethnic identity and ethnic tolerance) personal resources of overcoming of difficult life situations are expanded; and also about features of a picture of the world, optimum for successful cross-cultural adaptation of students foreigners, namely: a positive image-I and an image of other people; idea of kindness, justice, world around control, high level of intelligence of life and belief in remuneration of vital efforts; the characteristic of psychological features of transformation of a picture of the world of students foreigners under usual conditions and in the conditions of psychological maintenance of cross-cultural adaptation in the country of training is gained further development; means of psychological maintenance of cross-cultural adaptation of students foreigners taking into account transformation of their picture of the world are improved; results - system of monitoring of substantial features of a picture of the world and indicators of success of cross-cultural adaptation of students foreigners in the country of training and the program of psychological support of students foreigners in the country of training are created (in the directions of optimization of substantial features of a picture of the world and assistance of cross-cultural adaptation and development of its personal resources); the developed psycho-diagnostic complex and the program of maintenance can be used in activity of psychological services of higher education institutions in individual and group work with students foreigners; area - psychology.
