Danko H. Pharmacological and toxicological characteristic and antibacterial evaluation of the preparation on the basis of flavolignants of milk Thistle

The thesis is devoted to the study of pharmacological and toxicological influence of preparation «Oflosylimar» on the bodies of laboratory animals and dogs to use it for treatment of wounds with different etiology. Toking into account experimental investigations we may state liniment, which includes the antibiotic ofloxacin and the basis – oil of milk Thistle, is resistant according to physical and chemical peculiarities, belongs to those having a small amount of toxic compounds, possesses clear antibacterial peculiarities and has got curing effect. There were established pharmacological peculiarities of a new preparation. It doesn’t cause irritable and allergenic effect after applying on mucous membrane and skin, has got a slight anesthetic effect and shows a high membranostabilizing activity. After the treatment of experimental and burnt wounds in laboratory animals and bitten, torn wounds and phlegmons in dogs «Oflosylimar» displays effective antimicrobe action on gramnegative and grampositive microorganisms and promotrs full curing. Using of preparation on the basis of flavolignans of milk Thistle favours the normalization of morphological and some biochemical indexes of blood in dogs as a result of clinical recovery of animals.
