The reconstruction of the biography of the famous Ukrainian scientist of economics, statistician and demographer Anton Borynevych (1855-1946) is carried out in the thesis. The main areas of his activities (scientific, organizational, educational, social and political) in the context of the development of national statistics and demographics are highlighted. The impact of organizational and scientific activity on the development of the national economy, statistics and demographics is defined; his contribution to the other branches of science is analyzed.
