Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of innovative technologies for improvement of the physical and technical preparedness of rugby players at the stage of specialized basic training. The technology for improvement of the physical and technical preparedness of rugby at the stage of specialized basic training, which is based on didactic and specific principles of athletic training, has been developed in the thesis. The distinctive features of this technology are the structure and content of the physical and technical training for rugby players during a year cycle considering competition calendar and model characteristics. We experimentally proved forms of organization of team and individual training, their content and orientation; the volume of training loads in the ratio according to the types of training (general and special physical training as well as technical one) in different periods of the annual cycle; complexes of special preparatory exercises based on the position of rugby players; computer program "Rugby-13" for the independent acquisition of knowledge, abilities and skills; pedagogical control of physical and technical preparedness with the evaluation criteria, depending on the playing position. The technology for improving the physical and technical preparedness of rugby players at the stage of specialized basic training developed in the thesis, can be used in the coaches' practice in order to improve training, and can be recommended to practical use in the training process of Ukrainian rugby teams as well as an additional material for training classes and self-study on the courses "New technologies in physical education" and "Computer science and information technology in physical education and sport".
