In the framework of complex political science research the systematic analysis of the US Pacific strategy is done. The conceptual bases of research, an overview of sources dedicated to the issue of the nature and evolution Pacific policy the US state of scientific research found problems in the global political science are presented. The evolution of the Asia-Pacific strategy of the United States during the "Cold War" and the conceptual basis of US policy in the Asia-Pacific region in the post-bipolar period are analyzed. The strategy of unipolar US dominance in the Pacific is studied. The phenomena of Chinese hegemony and American leadership are characterized. The evolution of the US-Japan alliance as a factor of stability in the Asia Pacific region is considered. The US interaction with Regional Forum APEC and regional intergovernmental organization - ASEAN is researched.
