Essay

The thesis deals with the problem of forming future biology teachers' professional competence based on the integration of natural and pedagogical disciplines. In the thesis, the author studies the scientific literature on the research problem, does the theoretical analysis of competence-integrative approach in higher education, as well as defines the content and structure of the research concepts. The author creates the system of integrative and subject teaching for future biology teachers. The pedagogical conditions of forming future biology teachers' professional competence based on the integration of natural and pedagogical disciplines are theoretically developed and experimentally verified. The model of forming future biology teachers' professional competence based on the integration of natural and pedagogical disciplines is created and implemented into practice. The dynamics of the levels of future biology teachers' professional competence formed in the process of integrating natural and pedagogical disciplines are analyzed.
