Essay

The thesis is devoted to the formation of cartographic competence of future teachers of geography in the process of training. The paper analyzes the psychological and pedagogical literature on the study, analyzed formation cartographic competence of future teachers of geography in vocational education revealed the nature and structure of the studied phenomenon. The criteria (motivational, cognitive, activity) and components (value-orientation, cognitive, practical and creative) level (lack of sufficient, high) and forming performance mapping competence of future teachers of geography in the process of training. Theoretically substantiated and experimentally tested pedagogical conditions of cartographic competence of future teachers of geography that have been implemented in three phases (preparatory, basic, final) and the proposed methodological support (methods, forms, tools and technologies) to implement them in the classroom. Developed and implemented the practice of mapping model of competence of future teachers of geography in the process of professional training, proved its effectiveness.
