Essay

The thesis is devoted to revealing the structural and semantic features of sociolinguistic terms in the Ukrainian, Polish and English languages. A set of term elements and structural models in which the terms are formed are defined. It has been for the first time in terminology studies that stage-by-stage method of terminological fields modeling has been offered. It allowed to distinguish such terminological fields as "language situation", "language policy" and "political communication" in each language. Three sections of "English-Polish-Ukrainian Educational Dictionary of Sociolinguistic Terms" have been compiled.
