In the dissertation on the basis of conducted comprehensive studies, theoretical generalization and new solution to scientific tasks are given for hygienic evaluation of education conditions and features of psychophysiological state of medical university students in terms of introducing innovative teaching methods for the scientific substantiation of measures to optimize their educational process. It was established that the influence, which welfare conditions of living and education have on students' psychophysiological state, largely depends on the duration of education. Students estimated the condition of their health as above average. The gender difference in responses to the impact of innovation factors were found. Alexithymia features were studied as the result of the impact that new forms of educational process possess on students of medical university. During the period of study Alexithymia level among students progressively decreased. The unstable degree of psychophysiological adaptation was found in students, with particular tension on adaptive mechanisms of the central nervous and cardiovascular systems.
