Object - development of intelligence at bilingual; methods - theoretical (systematization and generalization), empirical (psychological-pedagogical experiment), mathematical-statistical methods of data processing; novelty - relation between high rates of meta-memory and the balanced type of bilingualism at students is defined for the first time; it is for the first time revealed that bilingual students of the balanced type differ in such features of the general intelligence as the high level of development the mnemic abilities and ability to generalization; relation between the high level of development of a social intelligence by verbal and nonverbal indicators and the balanced type of bilingualism at students is determined for the first time; idea of psychological features of bilingual of unbalanced type is expanded by inclusion in their characteristics of such all-intellectual indicators as the high level of mathematical and spatial thinking; means of a research of bilingualism are improved by creation of a psycho-diagnostic complex for bilingual students of different types of a bilingualism in which it is included a meta-mnemic component; means of psychological maintenance of assistance to formation at students meta-cognitive and social-mental abilities which make resources of the balanced type of a bilingualism are gained further development; results - a developing program directed to assistance to formation at students of abilities of the general and social intelligence which make resources of the balanced type of a bilingualism is developed and approved; the program can be used in practical teaching work and for increase in efficiency of teaching and educational process at the higher school; area - psychology.
