Essay

It’s proved the short-term positive and long-term negative effect of public debt on economic growth. It’s found that the public debt accumulation in Ukraine was accompanied by the increase of consumer expenditures. It’s reasoned the expedience of the promotion of the economic growth by the maintenance of positive current account balance. It’s forecasted the scenarios of Ukrainian GDP dynamics for 2016-2040 and indicated the optimal growth of 3-4%.
