The thesis is focused on the problems of the training of future primary school teachers to self-education activities to meet the requirements of competency based approach in higher pedagogical university. The analysis of the theoretical approaches to the problem of training of future primary school teachers to self-educational activity is done. A model of training of future primary school teachers to self-educational activity as a dynamic and open system has been of teachers and provides an opportunity to continually improve methods and techniques of training and education. The main blocks of the model are: target, substantive block, operational and providing block, evaluation and controlling block. Recommendations on the training of the future primary school teachers to self-educational activity are developed. The model of future primary school teachers training to self-educational activity is implemented in view of the organizational and teaching conditions as a set of objective possibilities, ensuring the successful solution of tasks. The organizational and pedagogical conditions and practical recommendations for the implementation of the model of training of future primary school teachers to self-educational activity are developed.
