Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of assessment problems of professional linguistic competence formation of future physicians. The paper analyzes the main scientific approaches of professional linguistic competence problem of future specialists. The content and structure of professional linguistic competence of future physicians including levels (high, medium, low), criteria ("linguistic awareness", "linguistic activity", "linguistic values", "emotional stability", "professional competitiveness") of the phenomenon are defined. The teaching techniques of criterion-referenced assessment of professional linguistic competence formation of future physiciansare designed and tested in the thesis. They are based on set of methods, criterion-referenced assessment,pedagogical conditions of assessment of the studied competence formation and constitute the system of criterion-referenced assessment ofprofessional linguistic competence formation of future physicians. The teaching techniques efficiency of criterion-referenced assessment of professional linguistic competence formation of future healthcare specialists is proved.
