Essay

The thesis is devoted to the development of new stability criteria for nonlinear differential equations containing constant, varying and distributed delays. New stability criteria for nonlinear systems with delay, based on estimates of evolutionary operators of the linear subsystems which give stability conditions expressed directly through the system parameters are proposed; bilateral estimates for the maximal Lyapunov exponent and sufficient stability and instability conditions are obtained; by using the developed criteria, stability of some mechanical systems, are investigated, the results are compared with known experimental and theoretical results.
