The dissertation is devoted to the development of the market of international payment services (IPS) in the context of global informatization. The author studied the theoretical and institutional framework for the development of this market and systematized its key players at the global and local level. The current market trends have been analyzed. The IPS's market shows a dynamic growth mainly due to increasing volumes of international trade. Customer's requirements to the payment systems essentially went up regarding time, security, usability, international flexibility, fees. The author identified the determinants of IPS's market development influenced by global informatization. The global factors (globalization of financial markets, foreign trade liberalization, integration of payment systems, internationalization, transnationalization of services, global informatiztion) significantly affect the organizational and economic functioning mechanism of the IPS's market. A complex hierarchy of institutions on global, transnational, international and national levels regulates the international activities of the IPS's market participants. There has been proposed and tested hypothesis on the existence of a relationship between the achievements in creation of information economy and degree of the IPS's market development. The author offered the economic-statistical approach to the forecasting of the IPS's market development based on an assessment of its elements' capacity and key influencing factors. The methods of this approach were tested in the prediction of cross-border e-commerce development in Ukraine, which is one of the most prospective segment of the Ukrainian IPS market. The author researched the competitiveness the IPS's market in Ukraine and made recommendations for improving the organizational and economic foundations for its development.
