The research is devoted to the specificity to the psychological characteristics of handicaps influence on the formation of identity, including self-identity, in individuals who have disabilities. Was done an empirical research and conducted comparative description of formation features of the self-identity at handicaps adolescents from youth detention center, special boarding school for children, who needs physical and (or) mental development correction and their peers who are studying in educational and rehabilitation center.
