Essay

The thesis is devoted to the study of pharmacodynamics of parasympathetic-tropic medication, which contains iodine and magnesium and its therapeutic and prophylactic effect on pregnant cows with endotoxicosis. On the basis of theoretical generalizations and research, the method of preventing endotoxicosis in pregnant cows using the drug «Thyreomagnyl», which contains magnesium and iodine, was developed. When determining the toxicity parameters of thyreomagnyl, it is established that it belongs to toxic substances - class 4 according to the classification 12.1.007-76, with its DL50 being over 5000 mg/kg in laboratory animals (white rats and mice), given intramuscular injections. For the first time the study was carried out on biochemical and immunological parameters of the functional state of cellular, humoral and nonspecific immunity factors, metabolic profile of blood in pregnant cows with the development of endotoxicosis and the calves obtained from them. In a comprehensive assessment of the harmful effects of endogenous intoxication of pregnant cows, it is established that individual biochemical parameters and indicators of nonspecific resistance of calf blood during the neonatal period of development are essential, which has both theoretical and practical value. It is recommended to use intramuscular injections of «Thyreomagnyl» at the dose of 10 cm? per animal during the eighth and ninth month of pregnancy. The candidate for a degree studied the influence of «Thyreomagnyl» and «Thyrіotone» on the organism of pregnant cows with endogenous intoxication and the calves received from them. The application of «Thyreomagnyl» to heavily pregnant cows has a greater correction-recovery effect than «Thyrіotone», which helps to reduce the symptoms of endogenous intoxication.
