The dissertation reconstructed the biography of the outstanding Ukrainian zootechnics scientist, doctor of agricultural sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science of Ukraine, Academician of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences Pavel Dmytrovych Pshenychnyi (1903 - 1985). The basic directions of his activities (scientific, organizational, educational, social and representational) in the context of the development of the domestic animal production science were highlighted.
