Essay

The existing in psychological science concepts and approaches to defining content, general self-concept and its individual component (professional self-concept) mechanisms of formation and development have been analyzed in the dissertation. The notion of «professional self-concept of operational and investigation unit officer» has been determined. The structural dynamic model of the formation and development of professional self-concept of operational and investigation units officers in which cognitive, emotional and behavioral components are considered as parts of personality endo- and exopsychic has been worked out and grounded. The professional self-concept development is formed in the process of solving the internal personality contradictions and external life conditions. By comparing the characteristics of professional self-concept of professionally successful and unsuccessful operational and investigation units officers, special psychological professional self-concept features have been defined. Psychological and organizational technology development of professional self-concept of operational and investigation units officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has been suggested. Its effectiveness has been confirmed during the experimental verification. The differences in the qualities development dynamics that affect the content of professional self-concept of operational and investigation units officers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine have been found and proved.
