The dissertation is devoted to the complex research of the lifecourse, research, scientific, editorial, educational and heritages aving activity of Vladimir Ivanovich Tymofiyenko (1941-2007) who was the academic, doctor of arts, professor, vice-president of Ukrainian Academy of Architecture, honored scientist of Ukraine, laureate of stateprize of Ukrainein architecture twice in 2002 and in 2007. The contribution of V. Tymofiyenko in the forming of encyclopedic foundations of a new historical and cultural paradigm of independent Ukraineas a whole and the architecture and townbuilding history development in particular is outlined based on general publicsources.
