The dissertation explores internationalization of creation and transfer of knowledge in the system of TNC's international production theoretical foundations. Reveals the theoretical and methodological foundations of research on the role of knowledge and innovation in the process of transnationalization. It was also found that multinational firms use of new mechanisms, models and forms of internationalization of research indicates the modern paradigm of the process. The dynamics of TNC investment in research and development was analyzed. The extent and determinants of the internationalization of R&D activities of transnational firms were opened. Internal and external forms of internationalization of TNCs R&D activities were discovered. Functional heterogeneity of TNCs' research units and factors of their international locations were explored. TNCs knowledge "Spillover effect" mechanism in host countries' economies had been revealed. A theoretical model of the relationship between TNCs investment and innovative potential of the host country was found. Ukraine's place in the global network of TNCs research activities had been explored.
