Essay

The thesis is devoted to the issue of after-school education development in the USA. The analysis of theoretical foundations of after-school education in the United States of America and historical and pedagogical genesis of functioning and development of the US after-school education has been provided. The organizational and pedagogical conditions of children development in the after-school education according to the components such as: regulatory, organizational, pedagogical, staff policy and financial were described. Based on the experiences and best practices in after-school education of United States of America, recommendations for development of the system of after-school education and after-school activities in Ukraine were developed.
