Object - role competence of the identity of future psychologist; purpose - to define psychological features and development tools of role competence of future practical psychologists; methods - theoretical (systematization and generalization), empirical (observation, conversation, testing, forming experiment), mathematical-statistical methods of data processing; novelty - for the first time: typological features of future practical psychologists taking into account the level of development of components of role competence are defined; the role reflection and ability to the resolution of the role conflicts as characteristics of role competence of future psychologist are defined; ideas of functional-role features of future practical psychologists are expanded by definition of role structure of their personality which included advisory, tutorial and scientific-pedagogical groups of role positions; means of psychological-pedagogical maintenance of development of role competence of future practical psychologists are improved taking into account role-gram of the leading professional roles of future practical psychologists; means of a research of role competence of future practical psychologists are gained further development by creation of an author's technique which considers its such components as a role reflection, width of the role repertoire, role flexibility and ability to solve the role conflicts; the concept about role competence of the identity of future practical psychologist is gained further development as motivated system of the abilities embodied in experience of psychological maintenance or the help; results - the author's technique of determination of the level of development of role competence is developed and the program of psychological maintenance of development of role competence of future practical psychologist is created; the theoretical and empirical results made by the author can be used during vocational training and increase in professional level of practical psychologists when teaching training courses "Introduction to specialty", "Active social-psychological training", "Pedagogical psychology", "Age psychology", "A training of communicative competence"; extent of introduction - results of a research are introduced in activity of 3 pedagogical higher educational institutions; area - psychology.
