Essay

Object - the processes of global economic development. Purpose - the extension of the theoretical conceptualization related to the matter of the social divergence of global economic development, as well as the foundation of practical recommendations for ensuring the socialization of the economic development of Ukraine within the context of global challenges. Methods - embraces dialectic method, historical and logical approaches; generalization, scientific abstract; analysis, synthesis, qualitative and quantitative comparison; econometric methods, including correlation and regression analysis, formalization, abstract and logical methods, tables and visual (graphic) method. Results - reveal the theoretical generalization and conceptual formation of the theoretic and methodological essentials for investigating the social divergence of global economic development. Equally important, the findings provide the backgrounds and corresponding ways of developing strategic priorities for socializing the economic development of Ukraine. Novelty - the original, developed by the author conception of social divergence identification as to global economic development; the interpretation of social divergence, in terms of which the key characteristic parameters are distinguished, is substantiated; the arguments are advanced for making an assessment of the social divergence of global economic development, the effects the social factors have on global economic development in general and on the development of the countries identified in the thesis in particular are defined, the existence of beta and sigma convergence for countries worldwide is empirically confirmed; the determinants contributing to the worsening of social inequality are found; the elements contributing to the improvement of the institutional toolkit for overcoming the social divergence of global economic development are detected; the social entrepreneurship model is developed; the strategic priorities for socializing the economic development of Ukraine are distinguished. Introduced in the Committee of Economic Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Department of Economic Development and Trade of Ternopil Regional State Administration Body, Ukraine LLC, All-Ukrainian Non-profit Organization "Poruch" and the curriculum of Ternopil National Economic University. Scope of application - activities of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the United Nations.
