Korniienko L. Ukrainian Phraseography second half of XX – beginning of XXI centuries: the monolingual and translation dictionaries

Object: Ukrainian Phraseography second half of XX - beginning of XXI centuries. Objective: comprehensive study of questions of the theory and practice of lexicography of idioms in Ukrainian linguistics second half of XX - beginning of XXI centuries, defining the principles of dictionary describing of the phraseological units, specific of systematization and structuring of dictionary entries in phraseography works, the ways of reflection of phraseology semantic in phraseography of the study period, features lexicography of systemic connections in monolingual and translation phraseology dictionaries. Methods: descriptive with elements of comparative analysis; method of comparative analysis with elements of quantitative analysis. Scientific novelty: for the first time in Ukrainian linguistics established and comprehensively describes the specific of lexicography idioms in Ukrainian monolingual and translation phraseology dictionaries of second half of XX - beginning of XXI centuries on the basis of origin, structural, semantic and functional characteristics of the phrases. Established the classification characteristics of the analyzed works, described the principles of concluding of the phraseology dictionaries in Ukrainian linguistics and defined the features of lexicography of the systemic connections of the phraseological units in the dictionaries of monolingual and translated types. Practical value: main provisions, the materials and the results of exploration, collected illustrations may be used in lexicography and phraseography practice, in particular in the ordering of the dictionary entries and the prospects of concluding of the phraseological dictionaries of various types, as well as in the teaching work, in particular for the training courses and the special courses on phraseology, phraseography, lexicology, stylistics. The methods of study and collected factual materials may be used in further research work.
