The thesis scientifically grounded theoretical foundations developed and experimentally tested method of forming artistic and creative competence of future teachers of fine arts by means of composition. The essence of the concept of artistic and creative competence of future teachers of fine arts as its capacity for continuous enrichment of their own visual experience of aesthetic taste and special abilities, replenishment knowledge, improve skills of artistic means shaping composition in active practice of producing original content, technically skilled and objective-value works, which is a strong basis to reach the heights of artistic and pedagogical expertise.The general category of interdisciplines composition as image-building constructive work of art as a unity of content and form, which is performed using means of expression together for maximum aesthetic effect. The classification tools compositions, covering formal and aesthetic image-semantic group are updated. The first of them defines logical and natural means of subordination, scale, proportion and rhythm, and selective - statics, dynamics, symmetry-asymmetry, contrast, nuance, balance, imbalance, importantly, secondary, heaviness, lightness, polychrome, monochrome. In the second group considered logical and natural means of abstraction, associativety, symbolism and typical, as well as selective - plot-fabular, novelty-standard, general-individual, realism, fantasy, polysemy-monosemy, needed-and-accidental, rational-emotional. A separate group consists of specific, according to the kinds of spatial arts, means: form-building - a point, line, stain; plastic - plane volume space; material - weight, texture, texture; performing - graphic, colorful, fashion. It was found that the use of certain means of predetermined composition originality of form and content, figurative language and features the artwork of his perception. The structure of artistic and creative competence of future teachers of fine arts and its criterion-level system are developed (motivational value, cognitive, personality, activity-reflexive components), according to pedagogical diagnosis and the author found a small numerical identity of students to high and medium levels of quality under the investigation. The experimental model of artistic and creative competence of future teachers of fine arts means a composition consisting of a regulatory target, methodological, procedural, semantic and didactic-efficient units is grounded and testified. The model is approbated in the educational process of professional training, during which created conditions for pedagogical orientation of students to the values of art, they stimulate artistic and creative activity and enrich their personal artistic and creative experience and empirically tested the effectiveness of their implementation. The general dynamics of increasing levels of artistic and creative expertise in experimental and control students groups data state and final results.
