In the paper, the current state of the problem is analyzed; the basic notions are characterized. Mediatechnologies are viewed as a means of forming of technical skills and knowledge of future professionals; scientific and theoretical foundations for the use of mediatechnologies in the course of teaching in higher technical educational institutions are analyzed. An original model of teaching was designed, and its characteristics were presented. Criteria, indicators and levels of readiness of a teacher to use mediatechnologies in their professional activity were studied. The preconditions of effective instruction of future teachers is this field were singled out. The paper presents an experimental research program, and considers the readiness of future teachers of technical disciplines to use mediatechnologies in their professional activity. The methodology of teaching to use media those technologies was realized. The results of the initiate level of the pedagogical experiment were analyzed.
