Sorochynska O. Training of future biology teachers to extracurricular ecological and naturalistic work with pupils of secondary school

The thesis is devoted to the problem of preparation o f a future teacher of biology to extracurricular ecological and naturalistic work with pupils of secondary school. This paper analyzes the status of the investigated problem in historical-philosophical, psychological-pedagogical literature, the practices of educational institutions, the history of foreign and domestic experience of development of ecological and naturalistic work, and the essence of extra-curricular ecological and naturalistic work with pupils of secondary schools. It specifies the essence of the basic concepts of the research. The content and structure of readiness of the biology teacher in the specified direction are described. The author has developed a model of training of biology teachers. The technique of realization of the training model of future biology teachers to extra-curricular ecological and naturalistic work with pupils of secondary school is implemented into the educational process of the higher school. It is proved that the efficiency of future biology teachers training to the specified work with pupils of secondary school is conditioned by the enrichment of the academic disciplines content of training and by the implementation of the author's elective course "Training of future biology teachers to extra-curricular ecological and naturalistic work with pupils of secondary school", and the manual "Ecological and naturalistic work at school".
