Suliy L. Сomplex neurophysiologic and neuropsychological testing cognitive impairment among patients with chronic cerebral ischemia

The thesis presents a theoretical synthesis and new scientifically confirmed results that provide a solution to a specific scientific task of Neurology - improvement and the introduction of complex methods of diagnosis of cognitive impairment for patients with chronic cerebral ischemia based on the neurophysiologic and neuropsychological testing.The study is based on clinical and neurophysiologic, ultrasonographic study of 110 patients with chronic cerebral ischemia, which were admitted in the Department of Rehabilitation of the SE "Institute of Neurosurgery. Acad. A. P. Romodanov NAMS of Ukraine" and in the Department of Rehabilitation Treatment for Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in years 2013-2016.Based on the clinical and instrumental studies we developed a set of neuropsychological and neurophysiologic methods of testing for early detection of cognitive impairment and vocational maladjustment for patients with chronic cerebral ischemia. Based on a comparative analysis of patients with chronic cerebral ischemia in groups with varying degrees of impairment of Main arteries of the head and neck were established criteria for early detection of non-dement cognitive disorders, objective determination of the nature and severity according to the neuropsychological and neurophysiologic methods of testing, assessment of structural and dyscirculatory disorders like chronic cerebral ischemia factors. Defined objective criteria for selecting individualized treatment of patients with chronic cerebral ischemia, non-dement cognitive disorders.
