In the frame of complex political science research the systematic analysis of Malaysian security policies at national, bilateral and multilateral levels of the Southeast Asia subregion in the post-bipolar period is done. The conceptual bases of research, an overview of sources dedicated to the issue of the nature and evolution of Malaysia security policy of scientific research found problems in the political science are presented. The concept of national security of Malaysia and their evolution in the late 20th - early 21st century is researched. Malaysia's bilateral relations in security with leading extra-regional actors: Australia, India, China, South Korea, the USA, Japan are analyzed. The role of ASEAN in the regional security of Southeast Asia and Malaysia's place in it is critically considered. The comprehensive research of new regional forums for regional security in Southeast Asia: ARF, "ASEAN+3", East Asian Summit, "ADDM+" Shangri-La Dialogue is done and their goals are analyzed. Based on a comprehensive analysis of the international legal documents the specifics of Malaysia bilateral relations in security with the countries of the subregion Southeast Asia and mechanisms for resolving bilateral disputes are researched.
