Essay

As a result of the research new aspects of the biological traits of Red White-belted pig breed have been revealed and the effectiveness of its use in connection with linear and family affiliation, sex, level of feeding, precocity and weight condition has been determined. The results of the investigation have shown that when the pigs were fed by 25 % higher than the normal feeding the meat yield in carcasses, "muscle eye", index of the meatiness and caloricity of meat, the content of protein in meat (20,64 %) increased, index pH increased, tenderness, moisture-retaining properties, hematological parameters of blood, skeletal muscle and thyroid gland were improved.
