Shyba O. Impact of transport infrastructure on economic growth of European Union member states.

Eight effects of transport infrastructure, which have a positive impact on the development and growth of the economy in the countries were identified. The development of transport infrastructure in certain EU member states during 2000-2014 has been analyzed. A correlation study of the investments impact in transport infrastructure has been conducted in two stages. It was established that the mechanism of investment influence on the development of transport infrastructure of EU member states consists of stimulating positive effect of investments in transport infrastructure of EU member states on improvement of conditions for cargo operations and for the market of services. On the basis of the analysis of statistical data and problems of freight transport between the EU Member States and third countries, the key directions of the intensification of transportation were formulated. The condition of Ukraine’s transport infrastructure and prospects of its development were explored.
