The aim of the research was to establish the predictors of the improvement of left ventricular systolic function and quality of life (QoL) in patients with ischemic heart disease and heart failure with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) within 6 months after revascularization procedures. Among 148 patients studied, coronary artery bypass grafting was performed in 111, stenting of coronary arteries - in 37. Patients of the CABG group had more previous cardiovascular events, hemodynamically significant lesions of the trunk of the left coronary artery and multivessel disease, had more pronounced changes of left ventricular structural and functional state compared to stenting group. Decreased quality of life by questionnairies SF-36, SAQ and MLHFQ was revealed in both groups. Improvement of QoL at 6 months after revascularization was similar in both study groups. The advantages of CABG surgery for correction of structural and functional changes and manifestations of heart failure compared to stenting were shown. The median increase in LVEF 6 months after CABG surgery was 18.9 %. Independent predictors of improvement in LVEF by 20 % or more were no history of MI, initial LVEF < 25 % and installing of three or more grafts.
