Object of the study: vocational training of future turners in the system of vocational education. Subject of the study: the formation of professional competence of future turners in the professionally-oriented educational environment of a vocational-technical educational institution. The dissertation describes a professional-oriented environment, the creation of which contributes to the effective formation of the professional competence of future turners. The model of formation of professional competence of future turners in a professional-oriented environment, which consists of conceptual-purposeful, methodological-content, procedural-managerial, evaluation and productive blocks, is theoretically substantiated, developed and experimentally tested. The most significant pedagogical conditions for the formation of professional competence of future turners are outlined: increase of students' motivation to study and interest in professional activity; the development of their professional integrated skills; organization of a professional-oriented educational environment; special scientific and methodical training of pedagogical workers.
