The thesis focuses its attention towards the HEALTH concept analysis in the Latin language, which reflects the lingual world picture fragment of the ancient Romans. The place of the HEALTH concept in the classification matrix of concepts has been determined. The specificity of the discrete reflection of the "health" category in the lingual world picture of the ancient Romans has been substantiated in the way of three somatic and mental states manifestation: the lack of adverse physical factors; adequate mental state; the availability of physical strength - that has substantially enabled to identify the three subconcepts SALUS, SANITAS, VALETUDO. The etymological, derivational and conceptual analyses of the words representing the HEALTH concept have been carried out; the nominative and semantic fields as well as the syntagmatic and paradigmatic relations of the means verbalizing the concept under research have been defined and discussed; the peculiarity of objectivation of the SALUS, SANITAS, VALETUDO subconcepts in medical, historical prosaic, poetical and paroemial discourses has been identified. Nominative field structure of the HEALTH concept is represented as core and pre-core zones consisting of some microfields as well as close and distant peripheries of the SALUS, SANITAS, VALETUDO subconcepts.
