Kirichuk I. Medical and Social Grounds for Optimization of the Model of Hospital-based Medical Treatment of Infectious Diseases

The object is organization of hospital-based medical treatment of the patients with infectious diseases; the aim is to prove scientifically the optimized model of hospital-based medical treatment of infectious diseases in terms of the implementation of the strategy to reform the system of providing medical care to the population of Ukraine; the methods are: the method of system approach, bіblіosemantic method, sociological, medical and statistical method, method of descriptive modeling, method of expert assessments and method of natural experiment; the results: for the first time in Ukraine the problems of hospital-based medical treatment of infectious diseases on the regional level were highlighted; the influence of organizational factors and resources on the availability and quality of hospital-based medical treatment of infectious diseases was established; the attitude of patients of stationary infectious disease departments to the organization of medical care and its quality was analyzed; the attitude of the medical staff of the hospital-based infectious disease departments to the working conditions and the level of their ability to provide quality medical care to patients was studied; the methodology of integrated assessment of the activity of infectious units in health care institutions was developed; the optimized model of hospital-based medical treatment of the patients with infectious diseases on the regional level was scientifically proved and its effectiveness was estimated; the management approaches to providing an effective comprehensive assessment and ongoing planning of affordable hospital-based medical treatment for patients with infectious pathology were improved on regional level; modern regional features of the infectious morbidity of the population of Zhytomyr region in the contingency of the All-Ukrainian acquired further development and study in the form of the nature of changes in processes, their intensity and orientation with the allocation of contingents and increasing nosologies; the industri is medicine
