The thesis research is devoted to the problem of formation of the future food technology technicians' professional competence in educational process of college. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of professional competence of future technicians in food technology have been determined and substantiated. The model of formation of professional competence of future technicians in food technology in the educational process of college has been justified and it includes the target, theoretically-methodological, substantive, organizationally - practical and appraisal-effective components. The methodology of forming the professional competence of future technicians in food technology has been developed and tested. The criteria, indicators and levels of formation of professional competence of future technicians in food technology have been determined.
