Essay

The main periods of the emergence and development of gender studies devoted to the elimination of gender discrimination are substantiated in the dissertation on the basis of overall analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature devoted to gender research in different countries of the world. It has been found that gender research is one of the consequences of the feminist movement. The essence and content of women's and gender studies in the western countries, Ukraine and Turkey is substantiated. It has been found that most of them cover topics such as women's education and the achievement of gender equality in modern educational institutions, women's employment and gender segregation in the labor market, domestic violence, and social and political rights of women.
