Puriy M. Hegemony in Theory and Practice of International Relations.

The stages of formation of the theory of hegemony in the science of international relations are analyzed, the basic theoretical views and concepts are systematized. The peculiarities and regularities of the formation, confirmation and realization of hegemony in international relations are revealed. It is proved that in order to achieve the status of the global hegemon in the twenty-first century the applicant country must be a world leader in five major dimensions of hegemony: military, economic, political, institutional and ideological. The prospective scenarios of the establishment of new hegemony in the international relations of the XXI century were approved: unipolar world, bipolar world, multipolar world of states are substantiated.
