Essay

The dissertation is a complex scientific research, which reveals the intellectual heritage of V. G. Bazhayev (1865-1916), the founder of the national agrarian-economic science and education in the late XIX - early XX century. The degree of scientific development of the subject of research has been analyzed and it has been determined that the activity of a scientist from the scientific and organizational provision of agrarian and economic science has not been thoroughly studied before, and published works instantaneously reproduce his contribution to the development of agronomy. It found out that V. G. Bazhayev was the first provincial agronomist of the Moscow zemstvo. The result of many years of research by the scientist was the introduction of multi-crop rotation: Volokolamskaya and Yaroslavl. In addition, the scientific and pedagogical activity in the best domestic higher educational establishments tracked: the Kiev Polytechnic Institute of Emperor Alexander II and the Kyiv Commercial Institute. Organizational and advisory activity on the development of agricultural education and agrarian economics disclosed. The contribution of the scientist to the introduction and popularization of the concepts of "public agronomy" and "agronomic assistance to the population" determined. The scientific works of V. G. Bazhayev were analyzed, first, in questions of multi-purpose crop rotation, social agronomy, agricultural economics, agricultural statistics and cooperation.
