Maryna B. Contribution of academician V. I. Skok in the development of physiology of the nervous system in the second half of the XX - the beginning of the XXI century.

The dissertation is devoted to the complex research of the contribution of Academician V. I. Skok in the development of physiology of the nervous system in the second half of the XX – the beginning of the XXI century. In the paper is given the division into periods of the scientific path of the scientist is presented, the conditions and key factors of the formation of his scientific outlook are revealed, the scientific and organizational work and pedagogical activity of V. I. Skok at the Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology, T. Shevchenko Kiev State University, Academy of Sciences of the USSR and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the main directions of his scientific research in the physiology of the nervous system are analyzed. Reconstruction of the complete picture of scientific space Academician V. I. Skok gave the reason to conclude that he made a significant contribution to the development of national and world physiological science.
