The dissertation is devoted to the development of scientific and practical bases for designing technological processes for the production of parts of plunger pairs, taking into account the quality indices of the original workpiece, with the aim of the direct formation of the operational characteristics of the working surfaces of the conjugated parts for increasing wear resistance. The technological principles of forecasting of operational parameters of working surfaces of friction pairs on the basis of modeling of functional-parametric and structural-functional connections of surface properties with microgeometry parameters and with design and technological factors of machining operations have been developed. Based on the results of theoretical and experimental studies, an engineering methodology for designing a technological cycle for the production of conjugated parts of a plunger pair has been developed.
