Mykytyuk M. The environmental dimensions of economic development of European countries

The object of the thesis is the processes of ecologization of economic development of countries of the world economy. The aim is the theoretical synthesis and deepening of scientific approaches to the definition of ecological dimension of the economic development of the European countries and the development on this basis strategic guideline for the ecologization of economic activity in Ukraine in the context of the implementation of Ukraine-European Union Association Agreement. The methods: are the methods of theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis, comparative analysis, economic-mathematical, statistical and modeling. The results: are deepening of the theoretical positions on the definition of ecological dimensions of the economic development of the European countries and the development on these basis strategic guidelines for the ecologization of economic activity in Ukraine in the context of the implementation of European Union Association Agreement. The novelty - it has been proposed for the first time to consider the integral assessment of the three components of its environmental policy; under the ecological dimensions of the economic development of an individual country, the scientific approaches to formation of strategic guidelines for the ecologization of economic activity in Ukraine in the context of the implementation of the European Union Association Agreement, the theoretical and methodological principles of regulation of the country's ecological safety, which in addition to existing instruments include auxiliary and associated means, scientific and methodical approaches to determine the correlation between economic growth and anthropogenic loading on the environment through the use of the S. Kuznets' ecological curve has been improved; interpretation of the concept of "economic development" have got further development, theoretical substantiation and empirical confirmation of the regularity of the emergence of the concepts of ecologization of economic development have been identified and detachment of modern tendencies of state regulation of ecological norms in the countries of Europe has got further development. The results are implemented into practical activity of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration, Bukovina Center for Reconstruction and Development, ALC "Chernivtsi Chemical Plant", PE "Sanitation", PE "line-T" as well as in the educational process of Chernivtsi Institute of Trade and Economics of Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. Sphere of application: is the activity of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Committee on Environmental Policy, Nature Resources Utilization and Elimination of the Consequences of Chornobyl Catastrophe and Committee on Economic Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
