Object - emotional burning out of teachers of boarding schools for children with intelligence shortcomings; purpose - determination of specifics of conditionality of emotional burning out of teachers of boarding schools for children with intelligence shortcomings features their protective-copying behavior; methods - theoretical (systematization and generalization), empirical (questioning, testing, experiment), mathematic-statistical methods of data processing; novelty - for the first time: the psychological specifics of emotional burning out of teachers of boarding schools for children with intelligence shortcomings which are shown in considerable expressiveness of a phase of a resistant and its manifestations at identical expressiveness of phases of tension and exhaustion are revealed; relation of the disadaptive forms protective-copying behavior with emergence and manifestations of emotional burning out of teachers of boarding schools for children with shortcomings of intelligence and its qualitative specificity are established; features protective-copying behavior of teachers of boarding schools for children with intelligence shortcomings compared with other categories of teachers which consist in use of mainly unripe mechanisms of psychological protection of high intensity connected with distortion and falsification of perception of reality and also the passive emotional focused copying-strategy directed to regulation of emotional pressure against the background of deficiency of copying-resources are defined; are expanded and specified: psychological definition and the maintenance of the concept "emotional burning out" in the context of pedagogical activity of big complexity and its destructive character as specific stress-syndrome; idea of copying-resources of the identity of the teacher and their substantial characteristics as a way of prevention and overcoming emotional burning out; means of prevention and overcoming emotional burning out of teachers of boarding schools for children with intelligence shortcomings are improved by development and justification of the psycho-correctional program directed to formation of adaptive personal and environmental copying-resources; results - the package of the standardized diagnostic techniques with the author's questionnaire which is intended for a research protective-copying behavior and emotional burning out of teachers of boarding schools for children with intelligence shortcomings is developed. This diagnostic package can be used in psycho-diagnostic work and consultation on questions of professional formation of the teacher. The correctional program which is directed to formation of adaptive personal and environmental copying-resources of teachers of boarding schools is developed. The program can be used in work of psychological service of boarding schools for the purpose of prevention and overcoming emotional burning out of teachers. Basic provisions of work and results received in a dissertation research can be used during vocational training and increase in professional level of practical psychologists. Results of a dissertation research are introduced in teaching and educational process and work of psychological services of boarding schools and in educational process of higher education institution; area - psychology.
