The educational potential of museums has been examined in the dissertation; the conceptual bases of professional training of the future teachers in the sphere of natural science in higher educational institutions have been offered; the retrospective analysis of the use of natural museums in the training of the future teachers has been done; the use of natural museums in the conditions of modernization of educational process in higher educational establishments has been characterized; the pedagogical conditions of professional training of the future teachers of the sphere of natural science using the means of museum pedagogy have been singled out; the diagnostics of the level of development of professional competence of the future teachers of the sphere of natural science has been carried out; the structural model of professional training of the future teachers of the sphere of natural science by means of museum pedagogy has been worked out.
