Essay

The thesis deals with the improvement of treatment efficacy of patients with psoriasis associated with metabolic syndrome taking into account clinical and pathogenetic features of dermatosis in comorbid pathology.Іt was found that dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, blood adipocytokines levels disturbance, accompanied by subclinical inflammation development, adversely affect the course of psoriasis associated with metabolic syndrome. Patients with more components of metabolic syndrome show the higher risk of unfavorable course of psoriasis.It has been proved that the introduction of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and rosuvastatin, together with background and narrowband UVB therapy, into the combination therapy regimen for patients with psoriasis associated with metabolic syndrome increases the treatment efficacy by dynamics of рsoriasis іndeces and contributes to more prolonged remission.
