Essay

The thesis summarizes the theoretical generalization and the new solution of the scientific and practical problem, which consists in the scientific substantiation of the parameters and conditions for the application of vertical drainage elements on the regulating network (on shallowly drained drains) of drainage modular systems (DMS). It has been studied that the improved design of the regulating VDE network, by using VDE, allows to increase the efficiency of water regime regulation by more than 50% (on traditional drains up to 30%). It has been established that the DMS design, using VDE on a shallow drain, redistributes the runoff between shallow and deep drains (up to 28%), upward from the last one, which makes it possible to intensify the diversion of excess water from the upper layers of ground, at high standing of groundwater levels, to increase the volume of water abstraction and to ensure a rapid reduction of the groundwater levels to the norm of dehumidification. On the basis of theoretical and experimental studies, the parameters of VDE, as well as the conditions for its application, are justified, the degree of influence on the hydrological action of the regulatory network of DMS, its physical parameters (thickness, filtration coefficient and conditions of the external working environment (soil filtration coefficient) is determined. The technology of construction of the regulatory network has been improved, allowing construction of DMS with the use of VDE in one technological process, which greatly speeds up the pace of the device of the regulatory network, reduces labor intensity and construction costs. In this paper the calculations of the economic efficiency of the use of vertical filter elements and producing recommendations regarding the use of vertical draining element have been developed.
