The dissertation research is aimed at solving the problem of forming the professional competence of the future nurses in the process of studying chemistry-biological disciplines. The dissertation substantiates the choice of the research topic, its relevance and expediency. Theoretical bases of formation of professional competence of the future nurses have been considered; the pedagogical approach to the study of chemistry-biological disciplines under the conditions of the implementation of inter-subject connections in the preparation of the future nurses has been generalized; the essence of professional competence of the future nurses in the process of studying chemistry-biological disciplines has been defined. The professional competence of the future nurses has been considered as a complex of focused intellectual, practical, social-psychological competencies that are supported by internal motives of self-development and self-improvement, philosophical understanding of the meaning and significance of labor in the chosen specialty and the conscious responsibility of its results. Its special components, which are formed and developed during the study of chemistry-biological disciplines, are general and subjective chemistry-biological competences. The components (motivational, cognitive, activity, personal) have been defined; the criteria, indicators and levels of formation of professional competence of the future nurses have been improved (high (creative), medium (sufficient), basic (low), initial (introductory). In our research we determined and theoretically justified the set of organizational-pedagogical conditions (ensuring the formation of research skills of the future nurses in the classes on chemical and biological disciplines based on the competence approach; the use of inter-subject connections in the formation of professional competence of the future nurses; introduction of professionally-directed tasks and situational goals into the chemistry-biological preparation of the future nurses; creation of the informational environment for ensuring professional competence of the future nurses in the college), and worked out structural-functional model for the formation of professional competence of the future nurses based on interdisciplinary links between chemistry-biological and professional disciplines, reflecting the unity of purpose, substantive-procedural, organizational-activity blocks, pedagogical conditions, components and the result. Based on the use of valid diagnostic tools, the analysis of the evaluation of the effectiveness of professional competence of the future nurses formation in the process of studying chemistry-biological disciplines has been presented. The reliability of the obtained results has been proved with the help of methods of mathematical statistics using the criterion of the reliability of the differences in the average quantities – the Student’s t-test for independent samples.
