The dissertation is devoted to the problem of psychological compatibility of military operators of radar stations. The psychological analysis of the military duties of the operators of the Ukrainian Air Force performing combat duty was carried out on the basis of the studies of well-known national psychologists who professed the active (practical) approach, namely: O. Asmolova, M. Dmitrieva, V. Zinchenko, M. Korolchuk, A. Krylov, G. Lozhkina, M. Makarenko, Yu. Trofimova, and others. A joint activity of military men under specific circumstances was defined as a system included in public relations; as a process of a mutual transition between the "subject-object" poles. Objectivity is its main feature, which determines the material nature of the configurations, needs, emotions and feelings of the person. It was revealed that the activity of the military operator of radar stations on combat duty is a complex, multilevel, dynamic structure of receiving, processing, issuing and controlling information on basis of external and internal mental actions, which includes the level of actions, operations and psycho-physiological functions. The results of this research allowed determining psychological compatibility as an important ability of group members to the joint activity based on their optimal combination. It is depended on both the similarity and the distinction between the certain individual and psychological individuals features, because of which the integrity of the group is formed. The success of the unit is influenced by the combat, professional and psychological availability of the operators of the radar stations. The determinants of the psychological compatibility of combat services are the similarity of operators by the personal factors of "daptivity-anxiety" and their difference in "leadership-subordination". On the one hand, the most significant was the similarity of operators by the social status, focus on business, emotional stability, self-confidence, and on the other - the difference in the level of conformance and dominance. In turn, in military service, where servicemen have different significance of the "adaptability-anxiety" factor and similar significance of "leadership-subordination", the level of psychological compatibility is low. The use of this methodology at the formative stage of the experimental research stage provided for the observance of certain acquisition principles, namely: - the complementarity of diverse personal needs (for example, when one person governs, the other subordinates); - the congruence of aspirations, which envisages satisfaction of one-vector needs of operators on account of cooperation; - the complementarity of the professional skills provided compensation of the underdeveloped abilities of one subject with better qualities of another; - the community of values required the coherence of life attitude, beliefs, rules, etc.; - the complementarity of the professional knowledge, due to which members of the service complement each other during the joint activity. The acquisition of the combat services, taking into account the psychological compatibility of operators, was based on certain organizational forms, namely: personal study of the individual psychological features of the personality of each military operator; collective study, aimed at the examination of operator services as subjects of service activity. The main task of the control stage of the experimental research of the psychological compatibility of operators of the radar stations was to state the influence of this group phenomenon on the success of joint activity under the special conditions. The results of the empirical research of the control and experimental samples proved that by means of growth of the psychological compatibility of services there was a significant increase in the success of their joint activity. The results of the experimental research of the 125 services of the military operators of the radar stations made it possible to affirm about the significant dependence of the success of the official tasks performance on the level of the psychological compatibility of the combat services. Using the methodology of the acquisition of the combat services of the military operators, we greatly increased the level of the psychological compatibility of the third set of operators, prepared 23 psychologically compatible combat services of the fourth set (two groups were incompatible), provided a reliable change (services of the fifth set) to the future reserve servicemen.
