Essay

Object of research - hollow glued beam for joiner's products. Aim: improvement of the technological process of hollow glued beams manufacturing for perspective constructions, verification of their main mechanical and thermal properties, environmental and economic assessment of proposed measures effectiveness. Research methods: mechanical; mathematical statistics; electro-thermal analogies; "triple layer"; calculation analytical. Scientific novelty: has further developed direction of scientific research of thrifty technology creation for the manufacturing of glued wood structures for various elements of joiner's products. Have been obtained analytical expressions for the equivalent thermal conductivity of hollow glued beams, taking into account convection and radiation, as well as wood density and wood moisture content. The use of expressions allows to predict thermal characteristics of the hollow glued beams at the design stage and control in manufacturing and operating processes. Have been obtained new regression dependences for estimating temperatures of internal layers and humidity in hollow glued beams cavity, which are functions of the difference in temperature of their surfaces, that allows to provide non-destructive testing of the thermophysical characteristics of hollow beams in manufacturing and operating processes. Have been proposed new formulation of the problem for rational design of hollow glued beams choosing as a task of timber consumption minimizing, taking into account structural, mechanical and thermophysical constraints, which is determined by the requirements for joinery products from hollow glued beams. Practical value: the rational designs of hollow glued beams with a symmetrical and asymmetrical arrangement of the cavity relative to their cross section, taking into account the structural features of the joinery products have been developed. Results of experimental studies of the main mechanical and thermal characteristics show the suitability of the hollow glued beams use; calculation of wood raw material and adhesive materials consumption in manufacture processes - on the possibility of raw materials saving. Improved method of experimental determination of hollow glued beams thermal activity that allows to control its thermal characteristics at the manufacturing stage. Have been improved methodology for assessing the environmental and economic efficiency of manufacturing process, implementation of which will facilitate the rational selection of options in manufacturing process. The advanced technology of hollow glued beams for various elements of joiner's products manufacturing is developed and realized in production conditions (Ltd. "Budservis LTD" Ternopil, Act from 12.12.2017). Priority of the results obtained for the construction of three-layer profile beams for the manufacture of window frames with double-glazed windows and hollow three-layer glued beams for the manufacture of window and balcony blocks is confirmed by the patents of Ukraine for utility model. The obtained results of the thesis are used in the disciplines: " Technology of joiner's products", "Design of wooden structures and components" (bachelor's level in majoring "Woodworking technologies"); "Technology of wooden houses construction", "Designing of translucent constructions" (master level in specialization "Woodworking technologies" and "Technologies of wood products"), in UNFU (Act from 06.01.2017). Scope: woodworking technology and wood products manufacturing, in particular joiner-building products.
